A Michigan native, Dr. Cowart attended the University of Michigan followed by Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts and began her career in Franklin, MA.  She joined Bay Crossing Family Medicine in November 2005.  Dr. Cowart is passionate about caring for entire families, and especially loves pediatric, adolescent and preventive medicine. 

Dr. Cowart recently moved to Annapolis with her husband, a USNA professor, and two children.  She enjoys knitting, walking and working in Church ministry.  She can frequently be found chasing her kids at local parks.
